I happened to know that Takehana & Wisteria Festival had been holding on that day, I dropped in there because I was around there.
I just wanted to see the wisteria flowers, but I tempted by the pleasant smell of roasted dumplings, I lined up in the row. A lady was roasting dumplings in front of the shop. She sprinkled sesame on the surface of the dumplings.
It's called "Misogi Dango", popular seasonal sweets of Takehana, Hashima. I wrote about it in the past article.
It had mixed taste of savory "miso" and sweet bean paste. Actually, I have not eaten it for 5 years!! But I really liked it.
