When I went to the vintage market in other countries, I often buy some old magazines for photographing of a merchandise images.
Here's one of them. It's pamphlet-like small magazine was published in London for the home woman. It's the "HOME NOTES" of May, 1922. The special feature of that month was recipes of the 10 best cakes.
I am very interested in the cake named "mushroom cake" on the top right corner. It looks so real!!
In spite of the title, there only were 3 pages for the recipes. Thus, the explanations were not detailed.
I want to make the "mushroom cake" some day, but I am sure that it would be too sweet for us.
